What is the prescribed path for a seeker of liberation to achieve their spiritual goal?

📖 Chapter 45

Chapter 45 outlines a clear path for a seeker of liberation. The first step is to practice discrimination between the eternal (Brahman) and the transient (the world). The seeker must then renounce the fruits of enjoyment in both this world and the next, and achieve virtues like calmness and self-control. The text advises giving up hope in others and cultivating strong self-confidence. The core of the practice is to recognize that the Guru alone is the true Brahman. By renouncing the transient world and meditating solely on the Guru, the seeker develops dispassion (Vairagya) and eventually attains a state of "undifferentiated worship" (Abheda-bhajan), where divinity is perceived in all beings.
