What is the origin story of the Ram Navami fair in Shirdi?

The annual fair in Shirdi began with an idea from Gopalrao Gund, who thought a Jatra or Urs should be held in honor of Sai Maharaj. According to the account in Chapter 0, he proposed this to Tatya Patil, Dada Kote Patil, and Madhavrao Deshpande, who all supported the initiative. However, they faced initial resistance from the local Kulkarni, which led to the collector issuing an order to prevent the fair. Despite this obstacle, a counter-order was eventually secured, allowing the fair to proceed. It was by Maharaj's direct command that the fair was to be held on Ram Navami, a tradition that has continued ever since.
