What is the meaning behind the analogy of the parrot in the cage as explained in Chapter 23?

📖 Chapter 23

In Chapter 23, the state of the human soul is compared to a parrot in a cage to illustrate attachment to sensual pleasures. The parrot, though it has lost its freedom, considers its state of dependence to be good and finds all its happiness within the cage, like a frog in a well. It fears leaving the cage because it would lose the 'happiness' of eating pomegranate seeds and sweet chilies. This analogy, found in Chapter 23, shows how the sensual soul (Kamuk) clings to the familiar comforts of its bodily existence, unaware of the true wonder of spiritual freedom until a master comes to open its eyes.
