What is the distinction between 'Vidya' (knowledge) and 'Avidya' (ignorance) as described in the text?

📖 Chapter 50

Chapter 50 explains that the core difference lies in one's self-perception and internal state. 'Vidya', or pure knowledge, is defined as the eternal pulse of realizing "I am Brahman" and the understanding that "I am the Soul, the pure witness; purely enlightened and liberated." It is the treasure of "Consciousness is Bliss." In stark contrast, 'Avidya', or ignorance, is described as a mine of negative attitudes, exemplified by the thought, "I am a sinner, unfortunate, luckless." This state of 'Avidya' is identified as one of the ancient powers of Maya that ultimately leads a soul into a state of bondage.
