What is the difference between true devotion to Sai and superficial worship?

According to the teachings in Chapter 45, true devotion to Sai involves the complete engagement of all senses and a profound detachment from worldly desires. It is insufficient to merely look at an idol while the mind wanders or to hear praises while the tongue craves worldly pleasures like mangoes. The text poses a critical question: how can someone be called a Sai-devotee if they are separated from Sai for even a moment or if they do not know how to be detached from the world? True devotion is a constant state where love for God is sparked and the disciple's heart is steadily focused on the Guru, much like a devoted wife's heart never leaves her home.
