What is Sai Baba's perspective on argumentation, and why is it considered detrimental to spiritual progress?

📖 Chapter 2

Sai Baba holds a very critical view of argumentation, considering it a major obstacle to spiritual progress. According to Chapter 2, He states that "Where there is a mind for argumentation, there is abundance of ignorance and Maya." Such a mind is filled with bad thoughts and false logic, rendering the person unfit for self-knowledge because they are devoured by ignorance. Baba warns that this path leads only to unhappiness in this world and the next. He advises against the "useless effort" of establishing one's own side, refuting others, or engaging in dualistic explanations, as it prevents the purity of self-interest needed for true spiritual attainment.
