The text describes how the impulse to slander is hard to contain but must be suppressed. Ironically, it also notes that a slanderer acts as a benefactor to the slandered person, as they help to remove the 'dirt' or faults of that person with their tongue. A true devotee, however, should avoid this negative behavior entirely.
