What interaction did the sannyasi Vijayananda have in Shirdi that caused him distress, and what was Sai Baba's initial reaction to him?

According to Chapter 31, upon arriving in Shirdi, the sannyasi Vijayananda met Swami Somdevji of Haridwar. When Vijayananda inquired about the journey to Mansarovar, Somdevji described it as a difficult path, about five hundred miles away, with heavy snow, changing languages, and significant hardship for outsiders. Hearing this news, the sannyasi became dejected and immersed in worry. Later, after he took darshan of Sai Baba and prostrated at His feet, feeling very pleased, Baba's disposition suddenly changed. He told the assembly to send the sannyasi away, stating there was "no companionship for work," which surely added to the sannyasi's distress.
