What instructions and assurances did Sai Baba give the author about writing his life story?

As detailed in Chapter 2, when the author prayed to write His story, Sai Baba felt compassion and gave His full permission. He instructed the author to create a collection of stories and experiences, assuring him, "My full help is with it." Baba revealed that the author was merely a pretext and that He himself would write his own story to fulfill the devotee's wish. The main condition was that the author must dissolve his ego and surrender it at Baba's feet.
