What information did the sannyasi Vijayananda receive about his journey to Mansarovar when he was in Shirdi?

📖 Chapter 31

When Vijayananda arrived in Shirdi, he met Swami Somdevji of Haridwar. As recounted in Chapter 31, Vijayananda asked him how far Mansarovar was. Swami Somdevji informed him that it was five hundred miles away and described the journey as being fraught with difficulties. He mentioned that much snow falls there, the language changes frequently, and outsiders face many hardships, including fears from the native population. Hearing this news from the Swami's mouth, the sannyasi Vijayananda became dejected and his mind grew distressed and immersed in worry about his pilgrimage.
