What information did Swami Somdevji give to the sannyasi Vijayananda in Shirdi, and how did it affect him?

In Chapter 31, the sannyasi Vijayananda met Swami Somdevji of Haridwar in Shirdi. When Vijayananda asked about the journey to Mansarovar, the Swami provided some daunting details. As recounted in verses 18 and 19, Swami Somdevji stated that Mansarovar was five hundred miles away, located at Gangotri's source. He warned of heavy snow, language barriers that change every fifty miles, and the significant hardships faced by outsiders.
