What happens when Ratanji first meets Sai Baba in the Masjid?

Upon arriving in Shirdi, Ratanji made his way to the Masjid for Sai Baba's darshan. Chapter 14 recounts this first meeting with vivid detail. As soon as Ratanji saw the "heap of merit" that was Maharaj, a feeling of love surged within him. He prostrated at Sai's feet, opened a basket, and lovingly placed a flower garland around Baba's neck. He also offered a weight of fruits. After these offerings, Ratanji sat humbly near Baba, ready to present his plea. It was at this point that Baba immediately engaged him by asking what Dakshina, or offering, he would provide in return for his fulfillment.
