What happened when two gentlemen from Goa visited Sai Baba for his darshan?

Chapter 36 of the Shri Sai Satcharitra recounts the story of two gentlemen from Goa who came for Sai Baba's darshan. Upon their arrival, both surrendered at his feet with joy. In a curious interaction, Baba asked for fifteen rupees in Dakshina from only one of them, which that person gave happily. However, when the second gentleman offered thirty-five rupees of his own accord, Sai Baba immediately rejected the offering. This apparent partiality surprised everyone present, including Madhavrao (Shama), who then questioned Baba about the reason for this difference in treatment.
