What happened when the Sanyasi first asked Mamlatdar Dev for a donation for cow protection?

When the Sanyasi first approached Mamlatdar Dev for a donation, Dev explained that it was not an opportune time. As recorded in Chapter 40, Dev informed the Sanyasi that another collection was already underway in the town, led by Raosaheb Narottam Sheti and the Nagarseth. He told the Sanyasi, "In that, how can there be room for your collection?" and advised him to return after two or four months, stating that the current time was not favorable for his cause. The Sanyasi then left, planning to return later.
