What happened when the Sanyasi first approached Mamlatdar Dev for a donation for cow protection?

When the Sanyasi first met Mamlatdar Dev, he was told that the timing was not right for his collection. As described in Chapter 40, Dev explained that another fundraising effort was already in progress in the town, led by Raosaheb Narottam Sheti and the Nagarseth. Dev kindly but firmly told the Sanyasi there was no room for another collection at that moment. He advised the Sanyasi to return to the town after two or four months, suggesting that the circumstances might be more favorable for his cause at that later time. The Sanyasi then left Dahanu based on this advice.
