What happened when the sannyasi Vijayananda met Swami Somdevji in Shirdi?

According to Chapter 31, when the sannyasi Vijayananda arrived in Shirdi, he met Swami Somdevji of Haridwar in the assembly of devotees. Vijayananda asked him about the distance to Mansarovar. Swami Somdevji responded with discouraging news, stating that it was five hundred miles away at Gangotri's source. He elaborated on the hardships, including heavy snow, language barriers changing every fifty miles, and the fear locals had, which made the journey difficult for outsiders. As Chapter 31 recounts, hearing this from the Swami's mouth made the sannyasi dejected and his mind became immersed in worry.
