What happened when the narrator and Madhavrao (Shama) arrived during the Aarti, and what did Sai Baba ask them?

When the narrator and Madhavrao arrived, Baba was smoking his chillum while Jog performed the Aarti. Madhavrao had the narrator sit directly facing Baba. As described in Chapter 19, Sai Baba then asked what Dakshina (offering) Shama had brought. Shama replied that he brought a bow (Namaskar) and fifteen rupees. However, Baba was more interested in the conversation they had just had, asking them to tell him everything they discussed, showing his keen interest in their interaction over any material offering.
