After completing his government service in 1916, the author visited Shirdi on Guru Purnima. As detailed in Chapter 3, a fellow devotee named Anna Chinchonikar, concerned about the author's financial situation with a growing household, pleaded with Sai Baba to find him another job. However, Baba advised against it, stating that the author should now perform His service instead. Baba reassured him that by doing so, he would find happiness in his household, his plates would always be full, and he would never be empty-handed as long as he lived. By remaining devoted, his calamities would be removed.
