During a Chavadi procession at night, Laxmichand observed that Sai Baba had developed a cough. A thought arose in his mind, speculating, "Why does this cough trouble him? It seems like someone's evil eye has affected him; the cough keeps rising because of that." This was purely a private, mental thought that Laxmichand had. As Chapter 28 recounts, the true wonder occurred the following morning. When Laxmichand came to the masjid, Baba himself brought up the topic and spoke in a similar manner, demonstrating that he was fully aware of the thought that had been in Laxmichand's mind the previous night.
