What happened when Baba encountered the snake and the frog, and what was the immediate effect of his words?

📖 Chapter 47

According to the account in Chapter 47, Baba directly addressed a snake that was about to eat a frog. He identified them as the reincarnated Veerabhadrappa and Basappa, who carried a 'bone-deep enmity' from a previous life. Baba questioned why Basappa had not repented despite being turned into a frog and admonished Veerabhadrappa for still holding onto the grudge in his new form. As Chapter 47 explains, Baba commanded them, 'At least now, feel some shame, give up the enmity, and stay peaceful.' The immediate effect was dramatic: the snake instantly released the frog and fled into the water, while the frog, saved from death, hid in the bushes, leaving a nearby traveler completely astonished.
