What happened to the Patil in Chapter 13, and how did it change his relationship with Sai Baba?

📖 Chapter 13

In Chapter 13, a Patil suffering from a disease experienced two strange dreams after vowing to seek Sai Baba's help. In the dreams, he was severely punished, first by a teacher with a cane and then by a gentleman who used a grinding stone on his chest. Despite the agony of these dreams, he woke up the next morning completely cured, feeling an unprecedented freshness and as though he had been reborn. This miraculous and unconventional healing filled the Patil with immense joy and gratitude. He realized the punishment was a beneficial act of grace, leading him to place his head at Baba's feet in total surrender. As Chapter 13 explains, this experience transformed his life, and he began frequently visiting Shirdi, his heart overflowing with devotion and faith in Sai.
