Once the Handi was fully cooked and Baba had properly tested the food, it would be taken down from the hearth and brought into the Masjid. As described in Chapter 38, a formal consecration prayer, the 'Fatya,' would be offered by a Maulvi. After this ritual, Baba would first send the 'Prasad' (blessed food) to Mhalasapati and Tatya. Following that, Baba would personally serve all the remaining food with his own hands, finding joy and contentment in satisfying the poor, the weak, and the hungry, often insisting with affection that they take more.
What happened to the food from the Handi after it was cooked, and who was served first?
