What happened to Kashiram right after the robber attack? How did he recover from such a serious injury?

After the robbers left him for dead, Kashiram eventually regained consciousness. Chapter 0 recounts that despite his severe head injury from an axe, he had such immense faith in Maharaj that he refused to go to a hospital. He insisted, 'Take me to Shirdi.' Once there, under Maharaj's direct instructions, Madhavrao Deshpande treated him. Naturally, as Chapter 0 states, it was by Maharaj's grace that Kashiram's health improved and he recovered. For his brave act of fighting the thieves, he was also honored with a sword as a gift from the Bombay government.
