What happened to Kashiram immediately after he was attacked by thieves, and how was he honored for his bravery?

After being left for dead by the robbers, Kashiram eventually regained consciousness. Displaying his complete faith in Sai Maharaj, he refused to go to a hospital and insisted on being taken to Shirdi. As described in Chapter 0, once there, he was treated by Madhavrao Deshpande under Maharaj's direct instructions. By Maharaj's grace, Kashiram's health improved and he recovered from his severe injuries. For his courageous act of fighting the thieves, Kashiram was later honored with a sword, which was given to him as a gift from the Bombay government.
