What happened to Kashiram immediately after he was attacked by thieves? Did he receive medical care?

After being attacked by thieves and left for dead, Kashiram eventually regained consciousness. As Chapter 0 recounts, he had such strong faith in Maharaj that he refused to go to the hospital for medical care. Instead, he insisted, "Take me to Shirdi." In Shirdi, under Maharaj's direct instructions, Madhavrao Deshpande treated him. By Maharaj's grace, Kashiram's health improved and he recovered from his severe injuries. For his bravery during the attack, the Bombay government even gifted him a sword. He went on to live for some years after this incident.
