What happened to Kashiram after he was attacked by thieves, and how did he recover from his injuries?

After being struck by an axe and left for dead by the robbers, Kashiram eventually regained consciousness. As Chapter 0 recounts, his faith in Maharaj was so profound that he refused to be taken to a hospital for medical treatment. Instead, he insisted on being brought to Shirdi. Once there, he was placed under the care of Madhavrao Deshpande, who treated him according to Maharaj's specific instructions. By Maharaj's grace, Kashiram made a full recovery. For his courageous actions in fighting the thieves, he was later honored by the Bombay government with a sword as a gift. He lived for several years after this incident.
