What happened to Kashiram after he was attacked and brought to Shirdi?

After being brought to Shirdi in a near-death state, Kashiram's recovery was overseen by Sai Baba. As detailed in Chapter 0, he refused to go to a hospital, placing his full faith in Maharaj. On Maharaj's instructions, Madhavrao Deshpande treated his injuries. By Sai Baba's grace, Kashiram's health improved and he fully recovered. For his bravery in fighting the thieves, the Bombay government later awarded him a sword as a gift. He went on to live for several more years after this incident.
