What happened to Kaka Mahajani's friend who didn't believe in idol worship when he visited Shirdi?

📖 Chapter 35

Kaka Mahajani's friend, who was a great devotee of the formless and averse to idol worship, went to Shirdi out of what is described as "clinical curiosity." As detailed in Chapter 35, he set two conditions with his friend Kaka: he would not bow his head to Sai Baba, nor would he offer any Dakshina. However, upon arriving at the mosque, Baba saw him and spoke in a tone that was a perfect imitation of the friend's deceased father. This profound experience astonished the friend and caused him to completely forget his resolve, leading him to bow his head at Baba's feet. Later, when Baba asked for Dakshina, he only asked Kaka, leaving the friend feeling restless and demonstrating Baba's deep insight into the friend's initial intentions.
