What happened to Haribhau Karnik in Nashik, and how did it relate to his visit to Shirdi?

In front of a crowd of devotees, Narsing Maharaj suddenly grabbed Karnik's wrist and demanded, 'Give my Rupee.' Karnik was amazed and joyfully gave the Rupee, feeling as if Sai himself was accepting the offering he had intended to give earlier.
