Immediately after Sai Baba's breath left his body, specific rites were performed. Chapter 44 mentions that Laxman-mama conducted the worship, and a person named Jog performed the Aarti with a lamp. Following these initial actions, a period of intense deliberation began, lasting for twenty-six hours. The central issue involved both the Hindu and Muslim communities, who began to discuss how to give Baba's body its final resting state and, crucially, how and where to plan for his Samadhi, or tomb.
