What happened in the immediate aftermath of Sai Baba leaving his body, before the main deliberations began?

Immediately after Sai Baba's breath left his body, a few final rituals were performed before the larger community discussions took place. As detailed in Chapter 44, Laxman-mama performed worship, and a devotee named Jog performed the Aarti with a lamp. Following these initial acts of devotion, a prolonged period of deliberation commenced among the Hindu and Muslim followers. For the next twenty-six hours, they began to discuss the complex and sensitive issue of how to plan for Baba's final resting place, or Samadhi, which was complicated by the uncertainty of his state.
