What happened immediately after Sai Baba passed away, and why was there confusion about his final rites?

According to Chapter 44, right after Baba's breath left His body, immediate rituals were performed, with Laxman-mama conducting worship and Jog performing the Aarti. However, this was followed by a period of significant uncertainty. For the next twenty-six hours, Hindus and Muslims engaged in deliberations about how to perform the final rites and where to establish the Samadhi, or tomb. The confusion was deepened by a past event from 32 years prior, when Baba had drawn his life force into the crown of his head for three days, appearing to be dead before suddenly returning to his body. This memory made everyone doubtful whether this was a final passing or another deep trance.
