What happened during the Chavadi procession that strengthened Laxmichand's faith?

A significant event that fortified Laxmichand's faith occurred during a Chavadi procession, as described in Chapter 28. While watching the celebration, Laxmichand observed Sai Baba develop a cough. A thought arose in Laxmichand's mind that the cough might be the result of someone's 'evil eye'. This was a purely internal, unexpressed thought. The very next morning, when Laxmichand was in the masjid, he was astounded to hear Baba speak to Madhavrao, saying, "Yesterday I had much coughing; is this the effect of an evil eye?"
