The Chavadi celebrations were vibrant and filled with devotion. As described in Chapter 37, on the night of the Chavadi, a bhajan group would come to the Masjid and perform until midnight. Devotees, both men and women, would gather eagerly. Some played cymbals, wooden clappers, mridanga, or tambourines, raising a 'storm of bhajan'. The scene was set with a beautiful chariot behind, a Tulsi altar to the right, and Baba seated in front of the devotees. The author notes that Sai acted like a powerful magnet, effortlessly drawing the iron-like devotees to His feet.
