What finally convinced the family of the boy with the bone-cyst to travel to Shirdi and seek Sai Baba's help?

As detailed in Chapter 34, the family was driven to Shirdi out of desperation after all conventional remedies had failed. When the disease did not subside in the least, their relatives suggested spiritual remedies. Word eventually reached them of a famous Avaliya (saint) in Shirdi, Sai Maharaj. They were convinced to make the journey by hearing of his greatness and the specific belief that if he applied Udi with his own hand, even incurable diseases could be cured. They saw it as a final resort, deciding there was nothing to lose in trying this last hope to avert the calamity.
