What exactly was the promise Babasaheb Tarkhad made to his son, and how did he initially approach the worship he took over?

📖 Chapter 9

To convince his hesitant son to travel to Shirdi, Babasaheb Tarkhad made a firm promise. According to Chapter 9, he assured his son, "Go, I will offer Naivedya daily; be certain." He further promised that no one in the household would consume food without it first being dedicated to Sai. Upon receiving this assurance, the son left. True to his word, Babasaheb began performing the worship himself. He approached Sai's painted image with a humble prayer, asking that his service be as devoted as his son's and that he make no mistakes. He established a routine of offering a piece of sugar candy as Naivedya each day.
