What evidence is there in chapter 28 of Baba knowing people's thoughts?

📖 Chapter 28

Chapter 28 provides two clear examples of Sai Baba's inner knowledge, or 'antarjnana'. The first instance involves a devotee named Laxmichand, who was silently suffering from hunger and back pain. Baba openly spoke about these exact issues, saying, "Hunger has come, that's good. There should be medicine for back pain," which perfectly mirrored Laxmichand's unspoken feelings. A second example occurred later when Baba developed a cough during the Chavadi procession. Laxmichand privately wondered if the cough was due to someone's "evil eye." As Chapter 28 recounts, when Laxmichand visited the masjid the next morning, Baba "spoke similarly," once again revealing that he knew the devotee's innermost thoughts.
