What does the author, Hemadpant, say about his own role in writing the Shri Sai Satcharitra in Chapter 40?

📖 Chapter 40

In Chapter 40, the author, referred to as Hemad, makes it very clear that he sees himself as merely an instrument for a divine work. He explicitly asks readers not to doubt that the entire book is Sai's inspiration. He states, 'Do not hold the doubt in your mind that this Hemad composes this by his own intellect.' He uses the powerful metaphor of being a puppet, declaring, 'I am merely a puppet of Sai, dancing to the pull of His strings.' As explained in Chapter 40, he attributes all virtues and any perceived faults in the text directly to Sai, emphasizing that Sai is the true author who 'performs His own story' and the 'original stimulator of consciousness.'
