What does it mean to fully surrender to the Guru to eliminate fear?

📖 Chapter 37

Full surrender to the Guru is a comprehensive act for eliminating fear, as detailed in Chapter 37. It involves surrendering all five pranas (life-breaths) with your body, speech, and mind. Furthermore, your decisive intellect must also be merged with and made entirely subordinate to the Guru. When this complete surrender to the Satguru is achieved, the text asks, 'what talk is there of the fear of worldly existence?' This is because the Guru Himself is the one who removes all worries, making concern for the world unnecessary for the surrendered devotee.
