What does Chapter 53 tell us about Hemadpant's character and his writing process?

📖 Chapter 53

Chapter 53 portrays Hemadpant (Annasahab) as a virtuous and skilled author who was also remarkably frugal. He was considered a "jewel among poets" whose words flowed with divine blessing. The chapter reveals his unique writing process: he would write on scraps of paper to avoid waste, feeling compassion for even "lifeless scraps" and wishing for them to be redeemed through the service of Sai Baba. He worked with great skill and thrift, giving these same scraps of paper directly to the printer, which pained him to see any wasteful expenditure.
