What does Chapter 50 say about the importance and benefits of associating with Saints (Satsang)?

Chapter 50 of the Shri Sai Satcharitra strongly emphasizes the value of Satsang, or the company of the righteous. It suggests that obtaining the vision of a Saint is a great fortune, earned only through "penance in previous lives," and that this association can remove the three-fold afflictions. The chapter poses the question, "Blessed, blessed is the company of the righteous; how can its greatness be described?" and then answers it by stating that from this company "comes discrimination and detachment, and supreme peace for the true devotees." Therefore, as explained in Chapter 50, anyone who desires their own true welfare or the highest goal should seek the company of Saints, as through them, they will lack nothing.
