What does Chapter 4 say about why people in a state of decline need the intervention of a Saint?

📖 Chapter 4

According to the teachings in Chapter 4, people fall into a state of decline where they desperately need a Saint's intervention. This happens when they lose their way and consider worldly things like wealth, status, sons, and spouse as the only source of happiness, completely turning away from the ultimate spiritual goal, or Paramartha. The text highlights that people lose their health and long life, becoming obsessed only with lust and hunger. In this state, they completely miss the opportunity for self-upliftment. It is to awaken religion and provide a path to well-being for these distressed souls that Saints take form on earth.
