What does Chapter 37 identify as the root cause of being trapped in the cycle of birth and death, and what is the path to liberation?

📖 Chapter 37

Chapter 37 explains that the cycle of worldly existence, or Samsara, is perpetuated by a fundamental ignorance. Specifically, it is the deluded belief that "Parabrahman is different from me; I am not that." This perception of difference or duality is what subjects a person to the endless cycle of death and rebirth. The path to liberation, as implied in this chapter, is to overcome this ignorance. The text states that one who crosses the "nooses of death"—which are defined as unrighteousness, ignorance, anger, and hatred—enters the divine heavenly state. This state is the realization of the Virat (Cosmic) Self-form, where the soul moves about fearlessly, free from all sorrow and the illusion of separation.
