What does Chapter 23 say about the purpose of saints' incarnations and the nature of the human soul?

📖 Chapter 23

Chapter 23 teaches that the soul's true nature is Sacchidananda (Existence-Consciousness-Bliss), but it falls into delusion through Maya, identifying with the physical body and experiencing suffering. To remedy this, the chapter explains that the incarnations of saints occur on earth out of benevolence, as a grace of the Almighty, specifically for the salvation of dull-witted souls. It is mentioned that having a store of merit (Punya) is what causes a desire to arise in one's heart to hear the stories of these saints. By listening to these stories and following the path of devotion to a Guru, one can attain happiness, contentment, and ultimately escape the cycle of delusion.
