What does Chapter 23 say about the human soul's condition and the way to find peace?

๐Ÿ“– Chapter 23

Chapter 23 explains that the human soul's true nature is Existence-Consciousness-Bliss (Sacchidananda), existing beyond the three gunas (qualities). However, it becomes deluded by Maya, causing it to forget its real nature and mistakenly identify with the body. This delusion leads to pride, the feeling of being the 'doer' and 'enjoyer,' and results in a cycle of distress and calamities. The text explicitly states that the only way to calm these troubles and escape this condition is through loving devotion (Bhakti Yoga) at the feet of the Guru. This path allows the Guru, like Sai Baba, to color the devotee in His own divine hue, leading them out of their predicament.
