What does Chapter 21 say about why some people are able to meet Saints while others are not, even when a Saint is physically close?

📖 Chapter 21

Chapter 21 explains that encountering Saints is not a matter of mere chance or physical proximity but is dependent on divine will and personal merit. The chapter states clearly that "unless good fortune dawns, one does not encounter Saints and Sages." It goes on to say that even if a Saint is right beside someone's pillow, a sinful or unfortunate person cannot see them. The author uses his own failure to visit the Siddha Pir Maulana in Bandra as a prime example of this principle. He attributes his inability to go for the vision to his "ill-luck" standing in the way. Therefore, as taught in Chapter 21, the company of Saints is a blessing that is easily attained only when God’s grace is present; otherwise, this sacred union is very difficult to achieve.
