What does Chapter 16 say about the Sadguru's relationship with offerings and the desires of his devotees?

๐Ÿ“– Chapter 16

According to Chapter 16, the Sadguru is 'Aptakama,' meaning one whose desires are always fulfilled and who is fundamentally desireless. Therefore, a disciple cannot truly fulfill any material need for Him. Instead, the Sadguru fulfills the disciple's innate desire for service, thereby guiding them toward becoming desireless themselves. The chapter emphasizes that the attitude behind an offering is paramount. He will accept a simple leaf or flower offered with genuine faith and love, but will turn away from any offering made with pride. Even though He is an 'ocean of Truth, Consciousness, and Bliss,' He enjoys rituals performed with sincere faith, demonstrating that the inner feeling is more important than the outward act, as explained in Chapter 16.
