In Chapter 2, Sai Baba strongly cautions against a mind focused on argumentation, stating that where it exists, there is an abundance of ignorance and Maya. He explains that such a mindset lacks purity of self-interest and is filled with bad thoughts and false logic. According to Baba, a person prone to debate is not fit for self-knowledge and is instead devoured by ignorance, leading to unhappiness in this world and the next. He explicitly advises against establishing one's own side, refuting others, or engaging in dualistic explanations, calling such efforts useless.
