What did Sai Baba say about the writing of his own life story?

According to Chapter 2, when the author expressed a desire to compile a collection of stories and experiences, Sai Baba not only gave his permission but also promised his full help. Sai Baba stated that the author was merely a pretext and that He himself would write his own story to fulfill the devotee's wish. This divine assistance was conditioned on the author dissolving his ego and surrendering it completely at Baba's feet.
