What did Sai Baba's Guru truly expect from him as a disciple?

๐Ÿ“– Chapter 19

According to Chapter 19, Sai Baba reveals that his Guru's expectations were not for material offerings but for spiritual devotion and specific virtues. Although Baba initially sought a secret mantra, he learned that his Guru desired something else. The Guru asked for 'two paise,' which symbolized Faith (Nishtha) and Patience (Saburi). Furthermore, Baba explains that his intense, loving contemplation of his Guru's face, to the point of forgetting hunger and thirst, was all his Guru expected. The Guru desired nothing more than this unwavering focus and devotion, and in return, he always protected Baba.
